Kazi Farhed Iqubal has about 20 (Twenty) years’ experience in the field of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) sector.

He has experience in ESIA, Environmental Management Training, Environmental & Social Due Diligence and Compliance Auditing for International E&S Safeguards and Standards (WB, IFC, ADB, FMO, DEG, KFW, CDC, UKEF, etc.).

Mr. Iqubal has been working in EQMS Consulting Limited since 2011 as an Executive Director. He has been involved as an adjunct faculty in the Department of Environmental Science, Stamford University of Bangladesh.

Mr. Iqubal has gathered copious work experiences in different areas more than 150 IEE, EIA and ESIA work in different industrial sectors, including the power sector. Especially in ESMS Development and Implementation Support, Mr. Iqubal has been involved in more than 20 projects in the RMG sector, power plant, transport sector, etc. Mr. Iqubal has been engaged as a ministerial team member for the up-gradation of ECR 2013. Apart from Bangladesh, he has experiences in Canada, Russia, Gambia, Tanzania, Djibouti, Afghanistan, and Lesotho.

Mr. Iqubal has been awarded a research grant twice (2007/08 and 2011/12) as a young researcher group category from the Ministry of Information, Science and Communication Technology, Govt. of People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

He has completed his MPhil in Geography and Environment,, MSc in Environmental Science, MS & Bachelor of Science in Biological Science. He also accomplished Lead Auditor courses in ISO 14001: 2015 and ISO 45001:2018 respectively.

He conducted training on Strengthening Capacity, knowledge and Practical Implementation of Environmental and Social Risk and Opportunity Management (ESROM 2.0) among Financial Institutes in Bangladesh -FMO, DEG, GCPF, OeEB, and Properco, Environmental and Social Issues (IFC PS & national Laws).

He has an association with professional societies like the Zoological Society of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Geographical Society, Member of Bangladesh Environmental Society, Bangladesh Nature Conservation Society (BNCS).
